What I learned for this is that sims 3 UI is completely customizable and changeable to the point of it’s layout, element nesting and dimensions being all stored in simple xml code. This one took me a week and a day of my full devotion, learning how to actually use photoshop, what workflow to go with, what overall style of everything should be, what to get rid of and what to keep as well as changing the layout files which are just simple XML. To make things easier to work with, as a base I used parrot999′s sims2 to sims3 UI edit over at Mod The Sims ( ). There’s some table/sorting elements that are hard to find in the files. The progress on my current UI project, live mode is 90% done, not including expansion content, only base game.
